Why come to BrickCon as a Builder?

BrickCon is the longest running LEGO fan convention in the world. Since 2002, fans have gathered from all over the world to meet each other, show off their creations, play games, and enjoy the hobby that is LEGO.
BrickCon is a two-sided event, with a public show where all the LEGO models are on display for members of the public to see. Every year, over 10,000 adults and children come through the exhibition to see the creations during set public hours.
The other half of the event is the private convention, where adult fans of LEGO (AFOLs) can participate in a variety of activities. Here are some of the things you can do at BrickCon as a convention attendee:

Bring your models to display

Creative builders bring their own creations to display at BrickCon every year. Known as MOCs (My Own Creation), there are hundreds of models ranging in size from those spreading full tables, to those that will fit in the palm of your hand. There are prizes for the best models in each category, and an award for Best of Show and People’s Choice.

Watch the presentations

Every year, BrickCon features different speakers, discussions and presentations on a variety of topics. For example, previous talks have included:
  • The History of Classic Space
  • How to Motorize Your Creations
  • LEGO and Neurodiversity
  • Sorting Roundtable
  • LEGO and Environmental Sustainability
Every year has something different.

Prizes, prizes, PRIZES!

At BrickCon, LEGO flows like water. There are prize drawings, swag bags of bricks, and lots of other giveaways. There are designated LEGO trading times as well. As a convention attendee, you have the opportunity to get custom engraved bricks

Play games

There are a wide variety of games offered every year. Have you ever tried to build blindfolded? Can you build a model without opening the bag? The fiercest competition is in the speed build and the master build. If you fancy yourself a skilled builder, come get your game on!

Visit the Brick Bazaar!

Maybe there is a minifigure you can’t find, maybe there is a set you missed out on back in the day, or maybe you just want to find that something special. At BrickCon, you can find LEGO sets, minifigures and all the bricks you can imagine, but there is also artwork, jewelry, apparel, custom items, and much more. When you are a convention attendee, you get access to the Brick Bazaar before the public arrives.

Meet other fans and make new friends

BrickCon is a special place where you can meet LEGO fans from all over the world. There is nothing like spending time with good friends and making new ones. Connecting with other AFOLs is a great way to compare building styles, learn new techniques, appreciate the sets, and generally geek out on LEGO.

Plus you can meet Abner!

See Bellevue

Located in the Seattle metropolitan area, Bellevue is the place to go for shopping, dining, and entertainment. Did we mention the LEGO store is just a brief trek to the mall nearby?
